Camouflage Make Up | Part 4 of 4 | Final Conclusion ✿
This is it. The end of 4 weeks of research and thoughts. I found learning about camouflage make up extremely interesting, especially finding out the difference between regular foundation and camouflage.
WHAT I FOUND THE MOST INTERESTING
I found everything very interesting, what brands have catered to the needs of others, what coverage is best for what kind of "imperfection". I have found the pricing interesting. Just because someone needs a different type of foundation then why should they have to pay more than the typical high street price of foundation?
WILL I BE LOOKING INTO THE RANGES MORE?
Yes I most likely will, the best thing I could do is try and compare the different brands. It has been so much fun learning about all the different ranges and brands and where you can and can't find get them from.
WHAT DO I THINK IS THE MOST COST EFFECTIVE AND BEST PERFORMING?
Personally I think the best performing is the dermablend/dermacolour camouflage range, however it isn't exactly cost effective, the small size of the pots and then having to buy everything seperate really just adds to the cost. The most cost effective, I believe is the Clinique foundation as it lasts, it is hypoallergenic and also has the matte and waterproof features of the dermacolour without the added cost and all in one single bottle.
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE
Going back to the cost. It really annoys me that someone with a small problem has to pay triple the price of a regular foundation just to be able to feel comfortable walking in the street. Personally I think it's disgusting that people think this is okay. I understand you will always get your high end make up, that is fine. However, the fact that someone has to pay £30.00 a bottle on a 30ml foundation just to be able to cover their "imperfection" is too much. I know if I had to use it, I wouldn't be able to afford it at all.
WHAT WOULD I WANT TO SEE IN THE FUTURE?
A range of products specifically for covering something, for example, a separate range to cover a strawberry birthmark and a separate range to cover scarring. I would also love to see the high street brands having a shot at camouflage. Bringing the affordability down to a reasonable level.
Overall, I have really enjoyed my research and I will most definitely be looking into this field of make up and possibly purchasing a few and trialing them out.
