Is Losing Weight Your New Years Resolution? | #BethsBeautyBible
Every year I hear people state that their new year resolution is to lose weight and body detox. Irecently discovered some important facts about the body and diet, so I decided to share these with you, and get your summer bod going!
Fad diets for me, are a no go. Are you getting the coprrect nutrients to perform and live a healthy life on a fad diet? No, you're not. Your energy levels will decrease, you will become more lothagic and you could possibly make yourself ill. Realistically you don't have to go on a "diet" to lose weight and get into shape. If you partake in a healthful fiet for life, a food plan based on a diet rich with whole grains, vegetables and fruits and low fat proteins, then you are destined for long term success. To succeed you need to be realistic and not some what fanatical.
For snacks between meals, choose fruit, low fat natural yogurts and healthy cereal bars. For drinks, swap fizzy drinks for water and green teas or black tea. Water is an incredible thing for motabilism, by drinking pleanty water you are incresing your motabilism, in a sense you are detoxing your body with a natural product, that is also free. Water also helps to crave hunger. Often the feeling of hunger is linked to dehydration, have a glass of water instead of a chocolate bar. See the difference?
Eating well also helps with your moods. The better you eat, the better you feel about yourself, right? Your mood increases, your energy levels will soar and you will find yourself waking up on time naturally, before the dreaded Monday morning alarm. You will feel more refreshed and you will start to notice a difference in your body confidence.
Exercise
So as well as looking after your diet, you need to work alongside this to have a larger impact on weight loss but exercising. Exercise doesn't just give you a more toned and slimmed down body, but it also increases your fitness and your mood. Exercise can give you energy whenever you're feeling lothagic, it can make you feel happy if you're down or in a terrible mood. Trying to exercise 5 times a week can have a huge impact on your weight loss. This may be walking for 15 minutes or an intense hour long jog/run. You don't have to go to a gym to exercise. There are so many options out their to get you exercising; yoga, aerobics, swimming, running, gym, spinning, body combat and all the rest. There really is too many to mention them all. Try to vary your exercise so you don't get bored of doing the same things every other day, over and over again, because lets face it, no one wants to do the same things day after day, we all like veriety.
Walking and running are by far the most convienient forms of exercise. To get yourself going, try vary your routes, distances and "styles". For example; walk for 15 minutes, then jog a further 15, then run a further 15, go back to a jog for 10 minutes and then walk that last 5 minutes to cool down and relax your muscles. maybe switch it up a little. On your first run, you don't want to push yourself too far, so only run for as long as you can, do not push it too much, if you do, your muscles may not heal properly. Increase the timing every week or so and push yourself a little bit further each week. Once your body gets used to going for a certain disance, you will be able to increse your distance and complete this in a shorter period of time.
Skippin/Jumping rope is an amazing aerobic activity. Try do jump the rope in a way a boxer would. Making the movements smnaller and faster will increse how long you are able to go for. try work this up to 100 jumps. Be sure to stretch your calves after. Jumping rope, not only targets your bum and legs, but your arms too.
If nothing works fo you, or you cannot motivate yourself, get a personal trainer. They will push you to your limit, helping you reach your goal.

Back To Body Basics
"It is obvious to me that the majority of women I come accross are not content with their looks" - Bobbi Brown
There are certain basic things about yourself that you just have to accept, such as your height and your body's frame. The are some things, however, that you can take control of and change. You just need to focus your energy on feeling good instead of trying to be something you're not. Personally I try to stay focussed on the positive things about my body, such as the aspects that I can change and the features I am happy with. My personal problems occur on my thighs and stomach, so by focusing on changing them, the outcome will make me happy.
Diet
If you eat well, you will loog good, if you don't, well your looks will suffer and along with your confdence. Diet
