MUA Luxe London - Lip Lacquer Review
My obsession with this brand continues. I was in the mood to do a huge MUA haul, so online I started to fill my basket, then I had a thought... "Why don't I just go into Superdrug and buy it all in person?!" So I did. Unfortunately at my local store they didn't have all the products that I wanted.
One of the items I bought was in the MUA Luxe London range and this was the Lip Lacquer, I bought this in the colour Aflush. It is a really nice "barbie pink" but it is not an "in your face" kind of pink. It has really cute packaging and says "velvet" up the side of the packaging, I was intrigued, I wondered if this meant the feel of the product. Yes, yes it did mean the feel of the product, it is A-MAZING!
The packaging is very elegant and sleek on the outside, then pulling the lacquer out of the packet it feels somewhat velvety, how can plastic feel velvet? But it does. The plastic is a clouded plastic, rather than clear, to me, this gives it a more elegant look than a simple clear plastic. On the back of the packaging it says "Get the ultimate velvet matte pout with this richly pigmented, silky, smooth lacquer. The quick dry formula glides on effortlessly to leave a gorgeous matte finish, that is smudge proof and long lasting"

Opening up the lacquer the stick smoothly glides out and gives that very satisfying "pop". The lacquer isn't gooey and doesn't string out, it just sits perfectly on the fluff of the wand. The product its self smells similar to the paints you used as a kid, poster paints, that isn't very attractive.
When applying the product, all you need is one dip. It is so thick, creamy and smooth it is a perfect product. On the above pictures all that has been used is one coat of the lacquer. It honestly is, silky and smooth. The product does dry extremely fast and does not smudge and does not rub off. When I tried to wash it off my hand I noticed that it wasn't budging in the slightest, it didn't even fade, it is waterproof! Perfect for rainy autumn and winter days! I tested the product out for one full day, without re applying it, throughout the day, I ate, drank and spoke, a lot. Yet, it lasted all day and by the time I got home it was still on. I was extremely impressed for a lip product to last longer than 6 hours.
I recommend this product to anyone! It really is the perfect lip product and is a definite must have in any persons make up bag. I am now going to order the other lip lacquers as I really do like them.
I think this maybe the start of a new obsession/collection.
